Telecommunications leader
Alphacomm Solutions BV has chosen
SysMaster Corporation's Norfa Broadband IP Telephony system to deploy VoIP services across Europe. The new relationship with California-based SysMaster was announced at global exposition CeBIT 2006 in Hannover, Germany, the world's largest IT trade show.
"SysMaster's expertise in deploying VoIP networks and next generation voice/video solutions will provide a proven high-end platform which enables us to accelerate the delivery of revenue generating services and optimize our network infrastructure," said Menko Hoekenga, Managing Director of Alphacomm Solutions BV.
SysMaster is regarded as a leading enabler of converged voice-video-data networks and next-generation services, while Alphacomm is an important solutions provider in the European telecommunications market. SysMaster's expansion has been fueled by the versatility and scalability of its integrated VoIP solutions for carriers, service providers, and enterprises. The company recently launched a bold new line of wireless and IP TV/ Video-on-Demand products, which the company is exhibiting and demonstrating at CeBIT.
SysMaster's Norfa system consists of VoiceMaster VoIP Billing Platform, Uniswitch Softswitch, SM7000 Gateway and MegaSwitch Class 5 Application Server. Alphacomm will use the SysMaster system in its IP network as part of a project to create innovative VoIP services for residential and corporate markets and become the dominant Netherlands VoIP carrier.
"We are delighted to have been chosen by such a forward-looking company," said Erkan Akca, SysMaster Regional Director of Sales. "Alphacomm will be able to take full advantage of market liberalization and develop a very competitive offer by rapidly deploying IP-based services."
Alphacomm chose SysMaster's platform from a short list of leading IP technology suppliers because it met the company's specific requirements for redundancy, scalability and easy integration with existing infrastructure and voice features. Another major factor was SysMaster's end-to-end VoIP products, including its billing system, Softswitch, Class 5 Application Server, and VoIP Gateways with SS7 integration. Because all components are manufactured by SysMaster itself, their integration is seamless.
"Collaborating with SysMaster ensures we are using best-of-breed technology with a very good price-to-feature ratio," said Hoekenga. "We will be able to create cost-effective and feature-rich new generation IP-based communications services which will significantly increase our average revenue per user (ARPU)."
"Adding SysMaster-enabled voice and video services to their retail and wholesale customer portfolio will create a far richer services offering for Alphacomm," said SysMaster's Akca. "We are pleased to help them extend current subscriptions and attract new customers for VoIP and IPTV."
