Rosum Corporation, the leader in reliable location technology for public safety markets, announced that it would present at the E9-1-1 Summit at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment Convention on September 13.
Jon Metzler, Rosum's Director of Business Development, will present as a panelist for the "Innovative Technology Solutions for the Future" 1:30 p.m. session.
Metzler will speak on the use of Rosum's robust positioning technology to automatically locate VoIP 9-1-1 calls, in particular from customers who take advantage of VoIP's nomadic capability. Currently deployed solutions rely on self-provisioning by the customer; however, the customer may not be aware of his precise location, or may not input it in a valid 9-1-1 format, necessitating manual verification. Up to 80% of input addresses require some kind of validation. Rosum's patented location technology leverages the robustness broadcast television infrastructure to deliver reliable, public safety-class location capability -- automatically, without requiring customer intervention.
The E9-1-1 Summit (
