CosmoCom has forged a strategic partnership with BandTel, yielding tremendous potential savings for enterprise contact centers. The combination of CosmoCom’s all-IP unified customer communications platform and BandTel’s session initiation protocol (SIP) trunks will optimize the overall cost structure of IP contact centers.
Many enterprises have recognized business benefits by adopting CosmoCom technology on their premises using VoIP gateways with legacy telephone lines. The significant gateway-related costs were justified by the overall benefits. But with CosmoCom and BandTel joining forces, companies who deploy CosmoCom technology on their premises with BandTel’s SIP trunks can completely eliminate the hardware, maintenance and IT personnel costs associated with VoIP gateways, making the cost benefits of the IP call center even more dramatic.
“With CosmoCom and BandTel, the VoIP gateways are in the network, saving enterprises both time and money,” explained Ari Sonesh, CosmoCom CEO and chairman. “Implementing an IP contact center is faster and less expensive, making an already strong business case even more compelling.”
“CosmoCom’s open, standards-based platform is a model for an industry often hampered by proprietary variations. It made interoperability testing remarkably quick and easy,” noted Chris Dunk, CEO of BandTel. “Together, we offer a flexible, dependable, and cost-effective solution to enterprises for migrating their contact center to IP with minimum pain and maximum gain."
“Alliances like the one between CosmoCom and BandTel are an important step to providing end to end IP communication solutions to the contact center market,” commented Rebecca Swensen, VoIP Services Research Analyst at IDC. “This partnership enables customers to truly realize the technical efficiency and cost savings that IP telephony, via SIP trunking and an IP platform, can bring to contact centers.”
CosmoCom and BandTel representatives will be available to discuss the benefits of their combined technologies during the Internet Telephony/Call Center 2.0 conference at booth 1303 in the Broward County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida during January 24-26, 2007.
