Talkster announces that Technology Marketing Corporation’s Communications Solutions has named the Talkster beta service as a recipient of a 2006 Product of the Year Award.

Talkster, the first and only service that lets people place free calls from their cell phones to instant messaging services like MSN, Google Talk and Gizmo Project without software, is consolidating the many voice- and text-based communications services people use every day into an easy-to-use service that works from a single familiar device: the mobile phone. The Talkster beta service showcases Talkster’s Web services-based technology, the foundation for Talkster’s forthcoming enterprise service offering.

The seventh annual Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award recognizes the vision, leadership and attention to detail that are the hallmarks of the prestigious award. The most innovative products and services brought to market in 2006 have been selected as recipients of this year’s Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award for their groundbreaking achievement.

Talkster architected its VoIP and presence network with patent-pending intelligence to reduce the cost of mobility while increasing workforce productivity. The Talkster network utilizes web services to integrate and manage calling services, and to provide contact presence features – used by instant messaging services to indicate a person’s online status – to drive a dynamic contact list. Talkster will be enhancing such features in its enterprise version.
