VoIP Supply has won the award for the Best Place to Work in Western New York in the Medium company (51-100 employees) category. VoIP Supply beat out 17 other Medium-sized companies that had been nominated for the award. This was VoIP Supply's second nomination in as many years.
The 76 companies nominated were honored, and winners selected, at a luncheon at the Buffalo Convention Center on Tues., April 8, 2008. Awards were given for the best place to work in the micro, small, medium, large, x-large and jumbo company categories.
"This is a tremendous honor and a testament to the quality of staff employed at VoIP Supply," said Benjamin P. Sayers, President and CEO of VoIP Supply. "Growing at such a rapid pace, constantly adding more people, and implementing change in order to set the pace to stay on top is a challenge. I am proud to be part of an organization that can do it all with a smile and look forward to coming back tomorrow."
The awards were sponsored by Buffalo's Business First newspap er and Quantum Market Research. The sponsors invited hundreds of Western New York businesses to participate in an employee survey that measured their opinions on their work environment. Employees had to complete a voluntary 40-question survey online. Questions included topics on co-worker attitude, teamwork, working relationships, and supervisor feedback amongst others. The results indicated how "engaged" the employees are at the company. Companies with a score of 80 percent or higher were considered a "best place to work," and the winners in each category were selected by the highest "engagement" rates.
