BroadSoft will host the third annual invitation-only "Korea VoIP Industry Forum" at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul on May 7. This year's VoIP forum will feature a panel discussion, "Open Access," which covers regulatory issues in Korea and how open access could benefit both customers and telecom companies. The panel will include HJ Kim, managing director of BT Korea.
The Korea VoIP Industry Forum will also cover how service providers can differentiate their residential offerings, and how new unified communications (UC) solutions from companies such as Microsoft might impact business services. Also, a special session will cover how service providers can use Web 2.0 mashups with telephony features to deliver new services to businesses and consumers.
Last year, the exclusive Korea VoIP Industry Forum was attended by top-level executives from Korea's major telecommunications companies, including CJ Systems, KTF, Samsung Networks, IBM Korea, Nable Communications, NewOn Sys, LG Dacom and SK Telink.
At this year's forum, attendees will hear best practices and learn from case studies featuring successful rollouts of residential and fixed-mobile services in other markets. Also, attendees will learn about Web 2.0 mashups that add advanced voice calling features to popular business and consumer applications such as WebEx and Facebook.
