Now Available Microsoft Response Point SP1 Download for D-Link VoiceCenter

D-Link announces that Microsoft Response Point SP1 upgrade is now available for download. Small and medium sized businesses using the D-Link VoiceCenter phone system can make the transition from traditional analog phone systems to lower-cost digital voice services easily with Response Point SP1.

D-Link VoiceCenter is a feature-rich, cost-effective IP phone system that is easy to use and manage, and is ideally suited for small businesses requiring up to 50 phones and phone lines. Among the essential features of the Response Point software are voice-activated dialing and voicemail access, automated receptionist, built-in auto-provisioning configuration, call-forwarding, call hold, find me-follow me, 3-way call conferencing, voicemail-to-email forwarding, voicemail retrieval over the phone and MS Outlook contact integration.

SP1 addresses small business needs for scalability, allowing a much more rapid and cost-effective move from traditional public-switched telephone network lines, he said. With IP service in place, and using a simple VoIP account setup wizard in the Response Point Administrator software, a small business can connect with Internet telephony service providers to obtain new VoIP phone numbers in a matter of minutes. Installing traditional analog lines can take hours, days or weeks.

SP1 also addresses small businesses' need to maintain a local presence through the use of a local VoIP phone number. VoIP providers allow businesses to select a local phone number for use in remote locations, alleviating costs to the business and customers for long-distance and toll-free numbers. Using a local phone number, small businesses also can secure their presence as part of local customer resources such as the chamber of commerce and local White and Yellow Pages.

Response Point SP1 also helps small businesses maintain close and responsive relationships with customers through support for Direct Inward Dialing, a key feature enabled by VoIP. A small business can configure Response Point to route known inbound callers directly to a particular extension or pool of extensions. It can furnish a main number or individual employee extensions to ensure that someone is available -- virtually anytime or anywhere -- for important customers.

D-Link VoiceCenter 5- and 10-phone kits include -- IP-PBX (DVX-2000MS), IP phone (DPH-125MS) and PSTN gateway (DVG-3104MS). The D-Link VoiceCenter phone handsets feature capabilities including auto discovery, and one-touch access to parking, retrieving, transferring, voice dialing other employees and voice dialing personal contacts.

Other features of the D-Link VoiceCenter with Microsoft Response Point SP1 include SIP or PSTN trunking, DID-based inbound call routing to extensions, click-to-dial, presence status, a dual-tone multi-frequency and speech-based auto attendant, user directory, nicknames, simple live operator access, customizable prompts, and call forwarding through internal lines. It offers PC contact integration with Microsoft Outlook, Windows Contact/Address Book.
