New Global Telecom has deployed
Acme Packet’s Net-Net session border controllers in order to expand its VoIP services. NGT’s VoIP services are targeted for small to medium businesses, including its certified SIP trunking offering for Microsoft Response Point. Acme Packet’s SBCs were selected in conjunction with its NextSBC Reassurance Program, designed to ease both the technical and business obstacles of migrating users of other SBCs to Acme Packet’s industry-leading solutions.
Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs are used to support NGT’s VoIP services, providing security, maximizing service reach and assuring SLAs. Net-SAFE, Acme Packet’s comprehensive security framework, provides denial of service attack protection, topology hiding and dynamic access control to prevent malicious attacks and non-malicious overloads. The Net-Net SBC’s flexible call admission control policies and application server load balancing allow NGT to ensure its service availability and deliver superior call quality for its customers. Maximizing the number of networks and customers to which NGT can deliver its services, Acme Packet’s hosted NAT traversal enables VoIP calls and other SIP-based sessions to be completed through premises-based firewalls and NAT devices.
