Broadweave has reached an agreement to acquire Nuvont Communications’ Provo customers. The acquisition will give Nuvont customers a single network provider for all services, and enhance their video and data options. The acquisition also increases the Broadweave customer base by more than 10 percent, and completes the integration of all wholesale and retail services for residential customers in Provo.
“Because Broadweave will now own and manage the fiber network, as well as provide the service, Nuvont’s Provo customers will have a single point of contact for quality customer service,” said David Moon, Chairman & CEO, Broadweave Networks. “We are committed to a seamless, smooth transition, and we have a team dedicated to personally resolve any customer issues through the transition.”
Nuvont customers now have the assurance that they will receive quality TV, phone and Internet services via Broadweave’s high-speed fiber-to-the-home network long into the future. Customers will also be able to retain their present phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other identifications. The only immediate change will be in the company name at the top of the bill received each month. In addition, customers can immediately choose from a wider variety of TV channels and Internet speeds. For information about the expanded service offerings, or for any other questions, Provo residents should call 801-769-8807.
“I think the acquisition of Nuvont by Broadweave is very positive,” said Bill Hulterstrom, presently a Nuvont customer. “The new unified delivery system should deliver a high quality of customer service, and give me new offerings and faster Internet speeds. Broadweave also has the reputation of supporting the community, and that is certainly another positive for me.”
Nuvont customers will join Broadweave’s existing contract customers with access to competitive pricing and high-speed data and Internet access that is faster than other options available to Provo commercial and residential customers. Broadweave’s offerings include a comprehensive lineup of extensive phone features, video packages that include high-definition (HD) channels and personal video recording, and the fastest Internet in the state.
"One of my biggest concerns has always been taking care of Nuvont’s customers,” said Brandon Grover, President, Nuvont Communications. “I believe that this transition will be very good for Nuvont’s Provo customers, for the City of Provo and for Broadweave. Nuvont will continue to provide great service to its many customers along the Wasatch front and outside of the state of Utah, and we are anxious to help Broadweave continue to succeed in Provo.”
