Vonage announces that Amichay Oren has been appointed Vice President, Research and Development. Mr. Oren will be responsible for driving Vonage's technology strategy, evolving the Company's IP-based communications platform and developing its next generation mobile and web-based products. He will lead technology teams in Holmdel, New Jersey and Tel Aviv, Israel. He will be located in Tel Aviv, Israel.

"Amichay has a proven track record as an innovative technologist in VoIP and mobile applications development," said Chief Executive Officer, Marc Lefar. "He will be instrumental in expanding the capabilities of our network to deliver new products to our customers.

This dramatically increases the opportunity to connect people locally or around the world."

Mr. Oren joins Vonage after spending four years with JaJah, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer. During that time, he was responsible for developing the company's technology platform, and managing IT and applications development across wholesale and consumer businesses. He also led development of web and mobile applications where he pioneered early VoIP mobile applications deployment. Mr. Oren brings to Vonage over fifteen years of technology leadership in both startup and established public companies. Prior to joining JaJah, Mr. Oren held technology leadership positions at SAP following SAP's acquisition of Expression Inc., a Silicon Valley technology company Mr. Oren co-founded. Mr. Oren is an active board member or advisor of several technology start-ups focused on social media and mobile applications.
