Phone.com announces the availability of two mobile apps that make the Phone.com Virtual Office service accessible from iPhones and Android devices. Phone.com Mobile Office, the first app to extend office phone capabilities for Android-powered phones, lets subscribers make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and more from their Phone.com number using their Android phone.
Phone.com Mobile VoIP for the iPhone allows subscribers to use their Phone.com Virtual Office account from an iPhone to place VoIP-based calls using either a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection.
On both devices, the subscriber’s Phone.com number appears as the Caller ID, keeping the mobile number private.
Phone.com Mobile Office enables Android users to:
- Listen to, read and manage your Phone.com account voicemail
- View received faxes
- Review call history
- Block calls from unwanted or unidentified numbers
- Send and receive SMS messages
- Click and connect to your private conference call bridge
- Integrate any Phone.com service plan with Phone.com Mobile Office
- Take advantage of low international calling rates
Phone.com Mobile VoIP enables iPhone users to:
- Use a mobile VoIP phone (a soft phone)
- Dial from an iPhone as if it is an extension of their Phone.com account
- Bypass phone providers (no cell phone minutes are used) by using Wi-Fi or 3G network to make the call
