Level 3 has been selected to provide VoIP enhanced local services for Momentum Telecom, which provides private-label residential and business digital voice solutions.

Under the contract, Momentum will consolidate the majority of its local service traffic on Level 3’s network, thereby allowing Momentum to streamline its business. With Level 3 VoIP ELS, customers like Momentum can deliver IP-based local and long-distance communications services to residential and business customers using broadband connections. This solution enables a quick-to-market, cost-effective and high-quality VoIP primary-line replacement service.

VoX Communications has become the first carrier to deploy a mobile VoIP unlimited data and voice phone in the U.S.

Frontier Communications announced its pending acquisition of Verizon Communications’ local wireline operations has received approvals from the California Public Utilities Commission, the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, and the Public Service Commission of South Carolina. The transaction, announced May 13, 2009, includes Verizon’s local exchange businesses in 14 states, including parts of California, and certain customer relationships for long distance services, broadband Internet access and broadband video.

Call Recording enables customers to record a call. Once the call record key is hit both parties will hear a notification that their call is being recorded.
