Vitelity Selects XO Communications to Provide Expanded and Upgraded 10 Gig IP Backbones

Vitelity_Logo.jpgXO Communications has been selected by Vitelity to provide dedicated long-haul network connectivity between Denver and Los Angeles. The 10 Gbps backbone will be the Denver-based company's first long-haul route to Los Angeles. Vitelity also is upgrading its Denver metro network service with XO, moving to a 10 Gbps backbone. By expanding and upgrading its network services with XO, the company is well positioned to offer customers high-speed, high-capacity VoIP services at a competitive price, as well as continue to grow its network footprint.

The dedicated long-haul route between Denver and Los Angeles will allow Vitelity to connect its local-area network to its data center in Denver, providing Los Angeles customers with faster and more reliable service. Once completed, Vitelity will cover nearly half the country with 10 Gbps network connectivity provided by XO.

Vitelity's upgrade to a faster network connection in Denver was prompted by the area's growing demand for telecom services. In fact, according to Vitelity, area demand for VoIP and IP services has increased by nearly 800 percent in the past 3 years. By upgrading both its IP port and Metro point-to-point Ethernet service from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps, the company is better equipped to serve customers with high-bandwidth applications.

XO was awarded the network upgrade and expansion business through a competitive bidding process. Vitelity attributes the wins to XO's unparalleled customer service and industry-leading technology.
