Internet Telco Launches Virtual Phone Numbers
An internet Telco based in Christchurch, New Zealand has become the first New Zealand telecommunications provider to offer an extensive VoIP global network that includes the availability of "virtual" telephone numbers in over 50 countries -- allowing free international calls.
Combined Technology's virtual number service means the company's international network subscribers can secure a local telephone number in most major cities world wide that connects directly to their home or business internet phone ("netphone") with no long distance toll charges.
Combined Technology
is one of a growing number of VoIP (Voice-over-Internet Protocol) companies competing for netphone subscribers globally. Following the release of its latest SIP Protocol software and billing system, as well as the strategic placement of global servers and gateways, quality phone calls on the internet are now a reality, says Business Development Director, Harmon Wilfred.
"The availability of virtual local numbers in cities throughout the world is a breakthrough for companies doing business offshore. Virtual numbers provide a real opportunity to have a local presence to do business in any major city in the world."
"If you are in Sydney and have a virtual number in London, your UK clients can call that local number and reach your home or office with no international toll charges."
Combined Technology is also targeting global companies with staff, agents or representatives based offshore. For these businesses, Internet-based virtual numbers will reduce the cost of interoffice telecommunications from up to 90% savings for international calls, to free for network calls.
The company is offering a one month free trial for some countries including the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Spain, China, Japan, and Australia. Virtual numbers are offered on the company web site or the on-line VoIP Shop at
www.ctvoipshop.com
. The numbers are being supplied for a monthly fee, starting at US$9.
Combined Technology was established in 2002 and has over 30,000 subscribers on its global VoIP network. The company is an international distributor of netphone handsets, multi-line phone converters, and VoIP software, designed and manufactured in China.
