New in 2007 will be a number of specialist conferences, which will build upon the success of last year's e-Government forum. Specialist conferences in Open Source, e -Government, e- Finance, e-Marketing, VoIP and IP Comms, have already attracted some of the worlds leading voices in these areas to speak. The CeBIT Connect Keynote Series has also been and will host world-leading experts in emerging technologies destined to change the traditional industry landscape. They will share with our corporate business audience insights into their major ICT implementations and initiatives, and deliver global knowledge. This daylong event on Tuesday 1 May 2007 includes a high-powered executive luncheon and business-networking environment for you to engage in.
In Open Source, topics such as "the Zen of Free", 'Open Innovation' and 'Open Standards' have been chosen by speakers such as IBM USA's Open Source expert Mary Ann Fisher, and Sun Microsystems USA's Chief Open Source Operator, Simon Phipps and renowned Open Source author and Berkeley professor, Steve Weber.
Back for 2007, the e-Government conference will be held again in conjunction with AGIMO and will feature the worlds business and government leaders talking about issues such as Citizen services, Collaborative/Networked government and IT standards and systems. Also new for 2007: CeBIT Australia 2007 features 25+ different technology areas on the show floor, each with its own dedicated web site which will be up to date with show info, blogs, industry news and relevant materials. There will be tech theatres on the show floor, and building upon 2006, there will now also be hands on workshops on a variety of technologies. The show is sure to grow from our record 30,000 visitor attendances in 2006. Managing Director, Jackie Taranto, said, "We are thrilled to be hosting such exciting speakers for 2007. They will all share with us such a wealth of international expertise, and give insights to Australia's business professionals in a number of important areas such as e - Government and Open Source."
She went on to say, "Our goal at CeBIT is to enable companies to do business and engage technology in their industries. CeBIT offers the best Australia and the world has to offer in technology today and buyers and sellers use the event to make business from local and international business visitors and exhibitors alike! But we are also focussed on opening the communication channels between business and government, local and international, educating and inspiring people, which is what we hope these business leaders coming from all over the world will help us achieve."
Returning in 2007 will be exhibitors such as Panasonic, GS1, Sony, 3 Business, Hallam, Pronto, 2Clix, Symbol, Netforce, Dlink, Netgear, CSRIO, NICTA, Altech and ELO Digital.
