TelcoBridges and Xener Systems announce the successful completion of interoperability testing between TelcoBridges’ Tmedia family of VoIP gateways and Xener Systems’ family of Class 4 and Class 5 softswitch solutions. As a result of this certified compatibility, service providers that choose TelcoBridges’ VoIP gateways and Xener Systems’ softswitches can be sure that they will achieve optimum compatibility and performance with carrier-grade reliability.

In June of 2010, TelcoBridges and Xener Systems publicly announced their intention to undertake joint interoperability testing of their respective media gateway and softswitch products. Testing work began soon after, with TelcoBridges’ engineering team taking the lead in the testing effort, and engineers from Xener Systems providing assistance. Testing of the products together became possible following TelcoBridges’ delivery of support for the H.248 media gateway control protocol in the spring of 2010. The interoperability testing effort was successfully completed in October 2010.
