TI Executive Fred Zimmerman to Keynote Communications Developer Conference

texas_instruments_logo.bmpTechnology Marketing Corporation announced that Fred Zimmerman, Director, CPE VoIP Solutions with Texas Instruments’ Communications Infrastructure & Voice Business, has agreed to deliver a keynote address at the 5th annual Communications Developer Conference, to be held from September 16-18, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Zimmerman’s address, which is open to all registered attendees, will take place Wednesday September 17, 2008 at 11:30am (PDT). Registration for the conference is now open at www.commdeveloper.com.

The Communications Developer Conference is the only conference in the world this year 100 percent dedicated to educating pioneers building the next-generation of communications applications. In addition to Mr. Zimmerman’s keynote address, the show features three days of conferences, great networking opportunities, and an Exhibit Hall featuring all of the latest Communications development tools.

As the director of product management and applications in TI’s VoIP business, Fred Zimmerman defines the strategies and products to support the adoption of VoIP in gateways, IP phones, WLAN IP phones, video telephony products and WiFi/Bluetooth solutions. Previously, Zimmerman served as the Director of Silicon Platform Development for the VoIP business unit. He was also the department manager a business unit developing embedded DSP chipset solutions for storage applications. He has held a variety of engineering and management roles in groups focusing on consumer, PC, and military semiconductor applications during a career spanning 20 years. Zimmerman has a BS in Computer Science from Regents College and is a Member Emeritus of the group technical staff at TI.
