Speakeasy Home VoIP Expands Worldwide Calling Area
The world just got a whole lot closer with the major expansion of Speakeasy's (
www.speakeasy.net
) calling area for its Home Voice-over IP (VoIP) service. Speakeasy customers will now receive free unlimited calling to 22 countries in addition to their broadband connection and unlimited local and long-distance throughout the U.S. -- all for just $79.90 per month. The change is effective immediately for existing and new customers at no additional cost. The savings are tremendous: Speakeasy's Broadband plus Home VoIP service can save a customer up to $400 annually compared to VoIP over Cable or VoIP over phone company DSL. Speakeasy Home VoIP service is bundled with a Speakeasy Broadband connection to ensure superior voice and connectivity quality.
Unlike other VoIP providers, Speakeasy provides both digital voice service and broadband over one nationwide private network. This keeps calls secure and enables VQ Technology (voice call prioritization) to deliver unmatched quality. "Speakeasy Home VoIP saves money and combined with Speakeasy Broadband, ensures that one provider is guaranteeing crystal-clear voice quality and superior connectivity -- all for a predictable price every month," said Bruce Chatterley, Speakeasy's president and CEO.
Speakeasy was one of the only VoIP providers to meet or exceed all aspects of the Emergency 911 mandate announced by the Federal Communications Commission earlier this year. Critical for consumer safety, the E911 capability provided by Speakeasy automatically translates the telephone number of a caller into address-specific information for emergency dispatchers where the operator is capable of receiving this information.
The 22 countries included in the expanded service are: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. (Calls to mobile phones not included.)
Speakeasy was recently recognized as a Superior VoIP Service Provider by the editorial staff and readers of the industry-leading magazine, Internet Telephony. Chosen from thousands of companies, Speakeasy VoIP was lauded at the publication's conference and expo earlier this year for its significance, originality and innovation, as well as its contributions to the growth of the VoIP industry overall.
