CommuniGate Systems Announces 99.999% Uptime
CommuniGate Systems
, the leader in scalable carrier-class Internet Communications solutions, announced the immediate availability of CommuniGate Pro (CGP) All Active Dynamic Cluster, which holds the SPECmail world record and supplies the largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with a scalable infrastructure for Internet Communications. The solution comes in a new Micro Dynamic Cluster offering, designed specifically for SMBs looking to deploy voice communications. The consolidated, all-in-one server assures SMBs of 99.999% uptime for email, IM, SIP-based applications and VoIP.
The CGP Cluster provides companies with two all-active backend servers for true resiliency and expansion capability, without service interruption. When needed, additional frontend servers (for VoIP, SIP) or backend servers could be added and updates to software or hardware can be done with the "Rolling Updates" feature. The CGP Micro Dynamic Cluster can be easily installed, supports multiple operating systems and can link to existing shared storage, such as Network Attached Storage (NAS)/Network File System (NFS) or the corporate Storage Area Network (SAN).
Besides reliability and security, the standards-based CGP Micro Dynamic Cluster provides all functionality of CommuniGate Pro, such as collaboration, email, VoIP, IM, SIP-based PBX, audio conferencing and the CommuniGate Pro Programming Language (CG/PL) development environment for extending or building new applications.
"CommuniGate Pro is widely used in large carrier and ISP environments, but since its inception, we have had a strong customer base in the small- and medium-sized business sector, using our 'Core Server' product. It is quite difficult to provide a scalable product, but even more challenging is to scale down and make the product reliable and easy-to-use. With the Micro Dynamic Cluster, CommuniGate brings the proven scalability and reliability of the unique Dynamic Cluster technology from the carrier-class market to SMBs who require dependability from voice and data Internet Communications, and gain a competitive advantage," said Jon R. Doyle, VP, Business Development at CommuniGate Systems.
CommuniGate Pro is recognized as the clear leader in providing carriers with rich, packaged features that increase the user-base value potential and subscriber retention. The all-active dynamic clustering provides multi-million user sites 99.999% uptime and a rolling update capability that no other platform is able to maintain. CommuniGate Pro is the first real-time Internet Communications server to utilize multiple operating systems in the same cluster, thus providing carriers with the flexibility to mix and match legacy or new architectures while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
Pricing and availability
Current CommuniGate Pro customers in their maintenance and support period will be able to upgrade to the CGP Micro Dynamic Cluster at 35% of the list price. The new CGP Micro Dynamic Cluster will start for a limited introductory period at $7,999 for 100 users with two backend servers (software licenses). CommuniGate Pro is available for purchase through more than 175 partners worldwide. CommuniGate Pro trials are available for download at:
