Lingo's Flat-rate Calling Plan to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh
Primus announces a new flat-rate calling plan that provides its
Lingo
digital phone subscribers with some of the lowest rates in the industry to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The new
Lingo
service flat-rate calling plan is offered for a monthly, recurring fee of just $29.95 and includes:
Low rates to South Asia -- 2.9 cents/minute to India, Pakistan and Bangladesh
Unlimited local and long distance calls -- within the U.S. and to Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
Free state-of-the-art Linksys adapter -- required for Lingo service
20+ popular calling features -- including voicemail, call forwarding, and caller ID.
The new plan received an enthusiastic reception at the fourth annual "Best of the Best" South Asian dance competition in
Chicago on April 19th
, where it was previewed to thousands of South Asians from around the country.
Primus's Lingo digital phone service was chosen as the "Editor's Pick" of the VoIP services reviewed in WIRED Magazine's Test Issue (Winter 2008). The review found
Lingo
to be "the most inexpensive plan," with a "tidy online manager" and "no hold time for tech support."

Lingo SUCKS,
They change term and condition in the middle of the contract.
Their term and contract basically allow them to do anything.
Avoid this company at all cost
Lingo sucks and is a fraud

Total fraud of a company!
1. Your "30 day" money back guarantee starts on the day you place your order online. It takes 2 weeks to actually get your hardware to use the service. So its a 14 day guarantee.
2. They bill you BEFORE shipping out the adapter. You are paying for a service you have yet to receive.
3. They don't tell you about all of the taxes they charge.
Here are some tidbits:
1. Their call center is in Manila, but everything has to be authorized by the East Coast
2. Their cancellation center is in Iowa City and has less than a dozen people.
So know who are dealing with and note their CSID (they all have them). Their names are fake, so log your date/time you called.

this is a fraud company. they suspended my line after 10 days of use. while signup they claimed unlimited calling plan but suspended the line without any warning within 10 days of use. while asked, they said their mgmt decided to allow 500 mins/month (what a BS). stay away from them.
their customer service is very very bad. waiting time is 30-40 mins minimum. customer service is very inefficient and cannot answer any questions, just forward to some other dept.

Lingo lied to me when I signed up for World max service that it is unlimited. When I receive high volume disconnection threat I replied back that there is no high volume usage plus I have so called unlimited service anyway!!! When they cannot prove that it is high volume they sum up two months usage to fit their agenda and suspend my service without any prior notice. After 10 email and 15 calls they keep trying to push me to a service where I need to pay per minute usage. Lingo is unethical and dishonest. They suppose to give me one month free when I signed up they did not give me that either. I think someone should file a class action law suit against Lingo and everyone should file a complaint to FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm) like me about the mistreating customer and put them in danger by discontinuing service. In fact you can also complain to your better business bureau (http://www.bbb.org/)
