Quintum Delivers VoIP to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

Quintum Technologies, a leading innovator in VoIP technologies, is pleased to announce that it is working with Microsoft to deliver unified communications solutions built on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, a robust, flexible, SIP standards-based real-time communication platform that enables presence-based VoIP call management, Web/audio/video conferencing, and instant messaging communication within and across existing software applications, services and devices.

The Quintum Tenor Line of VoIP switches and gateways offer enterprises of any size a VoIP solution that easily integrates into any existing traditional voice or VoIP infrastructure. The Quintum Tenor will support the voice, presence awareness and instant messaging capabilities of Office Communications Server 2007 and allow it to be integrated into the existing PSTN/PBX voice network infrastructure. The Quintum Tenor will offer Communications Server 2007 users a solution with intelligent VoIP access/switching capabilities, to help ensure high voice quality, easy remote management and lower total cost of ownership.

"We are extremely pleased to be collaborating with Microsoft and we share their vision of unified communications, which breaks down today's silos of e-mail, instant messaging, VoIP, telephony, and conferencing," said Chuck Rutledge, Vice President of Marketing for Quintum Technologies. "The combination of products will enable users to more easily find and communicate with customers, partners and co-workers within a more secure environment.

The Quintum Tenor delivers a unique VoIP feature set to businesses, supporting VoIP enablement of traditional telephony networks and the integration of new IP telephony networks into existing network infrastructures. The Tenor MultiPath design is flexible enough to allow it to be deployed in any type of voice network with minimum modification, thus simplifying deployment and lowering the total cost of ownership.

"Microsoft's vision for unified communications delivers intuitive and seamless communications to customers enabled by the power of software," said Eric Swift, senior director of product management for the Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Corp. "Industry-leading companies, such as Quintum, have played a significant role in the development of unified communications solutions using Communications Server 2007. Through our cooperative efforts, we will enable businesses to make better decisions faster by enabling people to communicate in the context of their information, applications, and business processes."
