SIPGear’s iPBX Achieves Full Certification with snom 3XX series VoIP Phones
snom
announce that integration of its SIP-based phone portfolio with Swedish-based IP PBX manufacturer
SIPGear
. After rigorous testing and evaluation, SIPGear’s iPBX received full certification by snom as interoperable and deployable with snom 3xx series VoIP phones and the new snom m3 IP DECT mobile phone.
With the certification of SIPGear iPBX, snom adds yet another standards-based, feature-rich and affordable IP PBX to its portfolio of interoperable VoIP partners. SIPGear and snom began their affiliation at the VON Show in Stockholm 2007, and the two companies collaborated for the first time in 2007 on a joint deployment for the Swedish publishing company Direktpress AB. The two companies plan to collaborate further in the future both in the areas of business development and technology integration to make it easier for customers to install and maintain snom phones with SIPGear iPBX, thus providing a feature-rich and easy-to-manage telephony environment.
snom’s 3xx series (snom 300, 320, 360 and 370) are the industry’s premier, business-class, open standards-based SIP VoIP phones and feature a global executive design and styling with a large high-resolution display screen, programmable function keys and advanced business calling features. The snom m3 IP DECT is the company’s first cordless offering and provides an optimal VoIP communications system for the home office, SMB or enterprise. The new mobile VoIP phone features an elegant design and advanced mobility without compromising audio quality. Since the company’s inception in 1996, snom has been a leading proponent of open standards and is interoperable with the broadest array of IP telephony platforms. snom phones offer the most comprehensive VoIP security including support for TLS and SRTP protocols and VPN capabilities. The SIP telephones can support several audio devices simultaneously, such as the handset & headset, hands-free and power over Ethernet.
SIPGear´s iPBX comes in four different models, SG10, SG30, SG100 and SG250, from ten to 250 users per PBX that also can be grouped together as one large PBX anywhere in the world. All four offers the same feature rich standard functionality with e.g. auto attendant, IVR, ACD, LCR, CDR, Unified Messaging, voicemail, remote users/offices and presence for an automatic audio answer of employees´ availability etc. Optional modules are Mobile Extension enabling an employee to use their cell phone as an office extension, TAPI for Click-and-Dial functionality in e.g. MS Outlook or any other TAPI compliant CRM system. For advanced and customised functionality, SIPGear offers a Scripting module where a business can integrate its iPBX into its other business applications through the writing of scripts that interact with other computer systems in the company. For instance placing incoming calls into special queues by looking up numbers in external databases or when employees log in to an ACD-queue on the snom phone the script writes to the database in the payroll system.
