Cedar Point to Demonstrate VoIP Switch at ACUTA Conference
Cedar Point Communications, Inc.
, the leader in packet-based voice switching technologies for the cable telecommunications industry, announced that it will demonstrate campus and institutional applications of its SAFARI C(Cubed) Multimedia Switching System at the ACUTA conference for communications technology professionals in higher education July 23-27 in San Diego.
In its booth, #613, at the conference, Cedar Point will show how SAFARI C(Cubed)'s single-unit design simply and cost effectively can migrate campus networks to IP-based telephony services, provide a seamless solution for Disaster Recovery, and can accommodate the anticipated need for fixed-mobile convergence applications. In addition CPC will be showing Unified Communications and Contact Center applications with Interactive Intelligence.
Already interoperable with existing enterprise software, SAFARI C(Cubed) replaces existing PBX trunking technology and supports a common set of features to TDM and SIP-based devices through a single packet-based switch. Earlier this year, Cedar Point announced its first agreement in the campus and institutional market for the deployment and trial of SAFARI C(Cubed) to a base of more than 30,000 users at the University of Massachusetts.
"The same qualities that have made SAFARI C(Cubed) a leader in voice switching to the cable industry can help the thousands of businesses and institutions that share cable's needs for a simple, economical and scalable way to migrate to IP voice services," said George Kassas, founder and executive vice president, business development for Cedar Point Communications. "The ability of SAFARI C(Cubed) to handle both today's voice needs and the converged wireline-wireless services on the horizon in the same unit has been responsible for our early traction in the campus and institutional space."
The only totally integrated carrier class VoIP switch that incorporates all of the components that make up the voice switching infrastructure, SAFARI C(Cubed) provides seamless evolution to SIP-based features and fixed mobile convergence applications. SAFARI C(Cubed) provides superior performance and reliability, significantly reducing capital expenditures, system integration and operations costs for IT departments that are offering telephony services while increasing network integrity, security and privacy.
SAFARI C(Cubed) is future-architected to fit within the next-generation IP network infrastructure, allowing IT departments to leverage their initial equipment investment in voice as they introduce such services as video telephony and fixed-mobile applications. New applications can be integrated into SAFARI C(Cubed), or can be accessed via third-party application servers.
