VoIP Provider Expanding Service to 200,000 Homes
GlobalTouch
announces that
Greenfield Communications
has selected its award-winning VoIP system as the underlying digital voice provider for its Master Planned Residential Communities. Families living in Greenfield communities have had access to GlobalTouch VoIP as of July 2007,
Recognized as the largest privately held Fiber to the Home communications provider in the United States, Greenfield Communications provides turnkey FTTH solutions for developers of new master planned residential communities. The company has currently turned up ten FTTH projects with more than 5,000 customers, is actively designing and constructing eleven additional projects (representing over 75,000 homes), and has secured twenty-two more FTTH projects representing over 200,000 homes.
“According to In-Stat research, the worldwide VoIP market was swelled by 34 million new subscriptions in 2006. As ‘wired’ communities continue to sprout across the country, such as those developed by Greenfield, it’s no surprise that domestic consumers continue to embrace VoIP and its many benefits,” said Gregory O. Welch, CEO, GlobalTouch Telecom. “What is truly important to note, is that as an industry, we are barely scratching the surface in regard to consumer market penetration. By 2011, In-Stat predicts the consumer VoIP market will total nearly $44 billion worldwide. Recognized as the ‘Gold Standard’ in VoIP service, we look forward to working with innovators such as Greenfield, and to achieving our shared goal of spreading quality digital voice and video to individuals worldwide.”
"GlobalTouch has created an tremendous VoIP platform which gives providers the ideal combination of rich features and the low CAPEX/OPEX of a hosted ASP approach," said Mike Powers, CEO, Greenfield Communications "Providers in the VoIP space are looking to minimize costs while still delivering a top notch service and growing market share. The combination of GlobalTouch's core technology and the Greenfield Communications market approach is a perfect way to accomplish these goals."
GlobalTouch Telecom’s award winning ASP VoIP Solution provides organizations the means with which to enter and operate in any size VoIP market, scalable from a few thousand residential or enterprise seats to millions of customers around the world. It enables carriers, resellers, international telephone companies, cable service operators and ISPs to launch a private-labeled VoIP business in less than 60 days. Its fully integrated, turn-key platform can be completely customized and delivers a comprehensive suite of services which include both residential and IP-PBX with ACD, Auto Attendant, SIP Fax, softphone, conferencing, all network services (DIDs, LNP, 911) and termination to any telephone in the world. In addition, the ASP product enables low CAPEX/OPEX offerings for both enterprise and residential deployments
Of particular note, is that unlike other service providers, GlobalTouch designs and develops every aspect of its technology from the ground up, creating a one-stop, single-vendor VoIP solution, as well as the flexibility to create, leverage and market its own innovations and applications versus having to resell third party technology.
