ASC's VoIP Recording Solution Certified for Connection to Alcatel-Lucent's IP DR-Link

ASC announced its VoIP recording solution. EVOip active, has been certified by Alcatel-Lucent for connection via the IP DR-Link on the company´s OmniPCX Enterprise R9.0.

The certification, provided by Alcatel-Lucent engineers at their laboratory in Brest, France, encompasses the use of ASC’s RIAactive via EVOip Server Software Version 9.0. Thus, ASC has added another prominent integration to the many it already offers with major telecommunications vendors.

The certification was issued by Alcatel-Lucent’s Alliance and Application Partner Program after ASC’s EVOip recording system successfully passed the standards of inter-working with its OmniPCX Enterprise R9.0 communications platform.

Truphone Announces Agreements with Vodafone Netherlands and Orange in Spain

The global mobile operator has forged agreements with Vodafone Netherlands and Orange in Spain (part of the France Telecom Group) providing Truphone with access to the operators' mobile networks in these markets to deliver Truphone Local Anywhere voice and data rates and local numbers to its worldwide customer base.

These partnerships will mean that customers will benefit from the service's proposition of 'local rates and local numbers' in five countries: Australia, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK and the US. Elsewhere, the service provides competitive roaming rates.

Speakeasy to Combine with Megapath and Covad

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2010, contingent upon closing of the previously announced transaction between MegaPath and Covad. Financial terms will not be disclosed.

This transaction will combine Speakeasy’s market-leading small business voice and data services with MegaPath’s wide selection of products and value-added services for distributed enterprises, and make them available over Covad’s intelligent, nationwide broadband network.
