Rebtel announces the launch of Rebtel 2.0 for iPad. The app is available for free starting today in the iTunes App Store and enables anyone to make high quality Rebtel to Rebtel calls for free over Wi-Fi or 3G. Ingate Systems and Positron announce that the Ingate SIParator Enterprise Session Border Controller has completed successful interoperability testing with Positron's G-Series IP-PBX solutions.

The SIParator E-SBC enables the secure, simplified adoption of SIP, SIP trunking and all unified communication applications. In SIP trunk installations, the Ingate SIParator combined with the SIP Trunk software module resolves interoperability issues to ensure seamless deployments with virtually all service providers' SIP trunk offerings and the Positron IP-PBX.

V-Global has joined the international consortium of carriers connecting free voip calls to iNum numbers and providing iNum numbers to its customers free of charge. “iNum” stands for an international phone number assigned to the universal country code +883 by the ITU.

V-Global customers can direct iNum voip calls to their devices with broadband or wifi connections to the Internet including voip phone sets, smart phones, computers, laptops and tablets. Voip phones already have software built into them that connect phone calls over the Internet while smartphones, tablets, computers and laptops use apps to provide voip calling capability. VoX has entered into an agreement with SmarTerminal to jointly market its mobile VoIP app as the preferred VoIP service on its Titan T8A tablet.

SmarTerminal recently announced the introduction of the TiTAN T8A military grade tablet to its product offering and will have the VoX Mobile app preinstalled on all of its units in the market. DIGITALK announces that JT has migrated its international wholesale voice termination service to DIGITALK Cloud. DIGITALK Cloud is a hosted carrier routing platform based on DIGITALK's advanced Session Border Controller VoIP Peering application.

Voxbone announces that Sonetel has begun giving all of its subscribers free iNum numbers from Voxbone. The agreement to provide iNums expands Sonetel's relationship with Voxbone, which has provided the certified reseller more than 17,000 geographical phone numbers since 2010.

iNums are global phone numbers that Voxbone launched in 2008 to support IP communications. Using the international number range of +883 5100 assigned to Voxbone, iNums enable a customer to establish a local presence in new locations with a single, portable number. By providing every customer an iNum, Sonetel will extend the subscriber's range of free calling to include communications with all other iNum users, anywhere in the world.

“In the first quarter of 2012 we saw the largest order of IMS core equipment and application server licenses on record, secured by Alcatel-Lucent -- a clear sign that operators in North America are gearing up for voice over LTE deployments. While commercial VoLTE services have yet to launch, this is a taste of what is to come as operators push forward over the next 5+ years. That said, large equipment orders will be sporadic and the IMS market will continue to be lumpy,” explains Diane Myers, principal analyst for VoIP and IMS at Infonetics Research.

Vitelity Communications announces the launch of the communications bundle, SIP Enable, at the International Telecoms Week conference. Vitelity partnered with Patton Electronics to develop the product, which enables legacy phone systems that do not have native SIP capabilities to now be able to use SIP trunk services from Vitelity.
