The acquisition extends BroadSoft's leadership in VoIP applications. To serve its growing customer base, BroadSoft now has development and customer operations centers in Montreal, Canada; Dallas, Texas; Bangalore, India; Sydney, Australia; Belfast, Northern Ireland; and Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Sipcall Acquired by Droplet Technology

Droplet Technology has acquired privately-held Sipcall. Christian Rees, Sipcall's President and Founder, has joined Droplet as Director of Service Platforms. Financial details of the deal were not announced.

In April 2008, Sipcall launched "Hipsip," a mobile data service that allows users to make carrier-friendly VoIP calls worldwide from any mobile phone's web browser, using only their local mobile calling plan. Droplet has already begun integration of the Sipcall SIP infrastructure into Droplet's interactive mobile video service platform.

Sitestar Purchases DONOBi Customers & Assets

Sitestar has purchased the Internet related assets of Washington-based DONOBi Internet Services. The acquisition includes dial-up, DSL and high-speed fiber optic Internet accounts as well as web hosting and collocation. Sitestar has now completed acquisitions in each quarter this fiscal year a first for the Company.

SightSpeed is an award-winning provider of high-quality Internet video communications services. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in early November.

The acquisition of SightSpeed will provide Logitech with video calling technology and a software and services development team that can be focused on future video calling initiatives that can enable cross-platform video communications with an intuitive, lifelike experience, for people sitting in front of a personal computer or with their family in a living room.

SkyWi has successfully completed its merger with One Connect IP, making the combined entity one of the largest regional companies to provide Internet, VoIP, and other related broadband services to customers throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Utah and Nevada. The merged company will operate under the SkyWi corporate brand and its service offerings will continue to be sold under the SkyWi, One Connect IP and ZiaNet brands.

IPtimize has acquired AFS’s broadband access and hosted VoIP telephone services business. Based in Boise, Idaho, the commercial VoIP business assets acquired by IPtimize serve small-business and enterprise customers in four metropolitan areas: Boise, Idaho, and its surrounding areas; Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada; and Salt Lake City, Utah. The acquisition more than doubles the number of IP endpoints served by IPtimize and adds both expanded geographic reach and an established commercial customer base to the growing VoIP business at IPtimize.

Five Year Old VoipReview.org Sold to Undisclosed Venture

Company founders and Denver entrepreneurs Eric Laughlin and Gary Gaessler successfully built and sold the company over a five-year period. Founded in late 2003, VoipReview.org features an interactive online search tool which helps shoppers find the best residential and business VoIP service providers based on price, features, local availability, and user ratings and reviews. Last year, the company announced it had helped 5 million visitors find, compare or purchase VoIP provider services -- a number that has swelled to more than 8 million.

Truphone Makes Acquisition of SIM4travel

truphone_logo.jpgTruphone has concluded an agreement to purchase the business of SIM4travel by way of an asset purchase agreement. The purchase means that Truphone will acquire both SIM4travel’s travel SIM capability and its Mobile Virtual Network Enabler platform. Integration of SIM4travel’s assets into Truphone’s own portfolio will begin immediately and take several months to complete.

Through the purchase, Truphone will take ownership of SIM4travel’s infrastructure, customer base, distribution and staff in Portugal and London.

Vyke Acquires UK-based Telecom Callserve

The deal is expected to be sealed by the 30th January 2008, for a maximum consideration of £2.9 million. The acquisition of Callserve compliments and expands on Vyke's existing operational base in the UK and will enable greater penetration into the UK market. Callserve also has existing African and Middle Eastern distribution networks, where customers will benefit from conversion to the Vyke product suite.

VoipSwitch Acquired by Voiceserve

Voiceserve has completed the acquisition of VoipSwitch. VoipSwitch has an established customer base with hundreds of re-sellers and generated a net profit of approximately $374,000 for the fiscal year ended March 2007.

The acquisition consisted of $1.2 million cash with 3,750,000 VSRV shares valued at $1.8 million for a total of $3 million. Voiceserve paid $600,000 cash and will continue to pay the remaining balance on a monthly basis over the next year.

VoIP Software Company Packetrino Purchased by US National Telecom

US National Telecom reached an agreement to purchase Packetrino Technologies. The transaction is scheduled to be finalized before January 31, 2008, the same month as USNT's approved 3-for-1 stock split effective for January 18, 2008. Packetrino is an early stage software development company focused on VoIP and IP switching solutions. The Company has agreed to pay cash, stock and earnings payout of as much $650,000 for a large ownership position and Packetrino will become a subsidiary of USNT.

The Packetrino line of products, most commonly referred to as SBCs, or Session Border Controllers, will include CoreAccess and CoreSwitch, providing more advanced features than many other SBCs. Packetrino will introduce the product line, priced from $19,750 to $84,750, January 24, at the IT Expo Show, Miami, FL. By way of reference, already well established companies that provide technology solutions with similar features include Foundry Networks, Acme Packet, Sansay and NexTone, among others.

USNT Makes an Offer to Purchase VoiceLogix

US National Telecom continues its strategy in the wholesale voice market. The Company, which has aggressive expansion plans, has signed an Offer of Intent to Purchase a regional VoIP telco PBX services Company. USNT has tendered an offer to purchase VoiceLogix, a Florida PBX VoIP services company. Terms of the Offer, which is currently pending review, have not been disclosed until the Offer has been accepted and final negotiations are complete.

The proposed acquisition will help accelerate the Company's push into the SMB market and to increase its relationship with VARs. TheVAR initiative, called VAR Star, is an important growth strategy to expand nationwide and globally. The Company's goal is to establish many reseller agreements in the next six months.
