Mitel Partners with HIPCOM to Achieve SIP Interoperability

Mitel has worked closely with HIPCOM to certify its services for interoperability with Mitel’s IP communication systems and applications. HIPCOM’s services have been certified in Mitel’s SIP Centre of Excellence, which also celebrates its 5th anniversary this year.

In its five-year history, Mitel’s SIP Centre of Excellence has been utilised for certifying 47 providers globally for interoperability with Mitel systems. Based in Ottawa, Canada, the centre enables Mitel to manage its own SIP certification and work together with service providers to efficiently and reliably achieve certification. At Mitel’s SIP Centre of Excellence, the certification process can be completed in as little as two weeks, which is a significant time reduction on alternative methods.

Rebtel Survey Projects 58.8 Million Americans Now Calling Abroad and Spending $23.8 Billion Annually

NTT Com to Launch VoIP Service for Global Internal Dialing

NTT Communications announces on November 4 that it will become Japan's first telecom carrier to offer multinational customers a VoIP service for internal dialing between global offices, including Japan, beginning December 1. Plans to launch other new IP communications services also were announced.

NTT Com's new service will enable customers to establish high-quality global-scale internal dialing networks on a quick, low-cost basis using IP technologies. Making calls will be as simple as dialing the base office's extension and then the receiver's extension.

Report: Competition Drives VoIP Revenue Growth; UC Infrastructure Market Will Reach $4.8 Billion by 2015

VoIP technologies are part of enterprise communications products and services that include fixed mobile convergence, contact center, IP/TDM PBX, messaging, and conferencing and collaboration. The integrated unified communications suites market, which was adversely affected by the economy, is also poised to see some consistent growth to reach revenues of $4.8 billion by 2015.

IP PBX vendors are expected to ship just over 35 million IP lines (including native IP and hybrid lines) worldwide during 2010. IP telephony shipments will continue to see robust growth throughout the forecast period as enterprise communications systems converge on the IP platform.
