Voip-Pal.Com announces that it has been upgraded on its OTC Markets Tier to "OTC Pink Current Information" Status. The Yield Sign and "Limited Information" caution signs have been removed from the VPLM symbol and replaced with the "Current Information" designation and symbol.

SoliCall announces that Korean-based Herit Corporation has integrated SoliCall’s Server SDK for improving audio quality in its Flash Media Server.

Herit developed an IP based flash media server. Its media server is used both for video calls and for voice calls. Herit has chosen SoliCall’s technology to improve audio quality and specifically to have a robust server side acoustic echo cancellation. SoliCall’s technology has overcame the technical difficulties that are part of all server side audio filtering and it has enabled Herit to significantly increase its MOS score.

Integra Telecom has earned Digium’s SIP Trunking Interoperability certification with Digium’s Switchvox SMB unified communications solution.

This certification enables the Digium UC solution to work seamlessly with Integra’s SIP Trunking. Integra is expanding the number of business phone systems certified to operate with its SIP Trunking service so its business customers can benefit in the following ways:

• Gain more efficient use of bandwidth by combining voice and data networks into a single service
• Receive dynamic bandwidth allocation so that voice is prioritized over data, meaning Internet bandwidth will increase when voice sessions are not in use
• Maximize capacity through multiple compression options that place more calls over the same bandwidth with no need for additional circuits

Level 3 is working with Microsoft to provide SIP Trunking with nomadic E-911 designed to integrate with Microsoft Lync. Nomadic users in the enterprise space are those who migrate workspace locations, taking advantage of VoIP services that allow phone calls to be made anywhere Internet access is available. Due to the nature of VoIP, it has traditionally been very difficult to offer E-911 solutions, which identify the physical location of the caller to the appropriate emergency response centers.

SPIRIT DSP has signed its fifth licensing agreement with Polycom. Under terms of the agreement, Polycom has licensed SPIRIT's product to support quality videoconferencing on the Polycom CX5000 Unified Conference Station. As a Polycom-branded version of the Microsoft RoundTable collaboration and conferencing device, the CX5000 system provides engaging group telepresence and also doubles as an analog conference phone.

The Polycom CX5000 Unified Conference Station adds a compelling and engaging group video experience to Microsoft Live Meeting session or to Microsoft Office Communicator conversation. With five cameras and six microphones, the CX5000 is primarily a USB peripheral device that delivers a unique, engaging 360-degree group video experience to Live Meeting 2007 applications, and when used only with Microsoft Office Communication 2007, the client functions as a video switched webcam. It also allows participants who are not within the organization's boundaries or managed video environment, meaning anyone with a PC can download the Live Meeting client and view the meeting. The device has TI C54CST processor inside that powers it, which also runs on SPIRIT communication software.

Mobile VoIP is an extension of VoIP that allows for IP-based calls to be made from a mobile handset. Voice traffic travels over the available broadband connection, whether that connection is 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi, or GPRS. Like fixed VoIP, mobile VoIP is being adopted in both the consumer and business segments, but has only recently begun to be implemented in the business environment. Yet growth rates are strong and by the end of the forecast period in 2015, users will have grown to nearly 83 million lines/seats, according to In-Stat.
