Edgewater and Metaswitch announcee the availability of a joint offering aimed at service providers delivering VoIP services to enterprises. The solution combines Edgewater’s VoIP monitoring and installation solution, EdgeView, with Metaswitch’s MetaView solution. It enables service providers to easily provision and support enterprise environments where a heterogeneous mix of IP phone devices from different manufacturers are in use. These environments are costly to install and maintain as there is no standard interface across all of the manufacturers that can be used to automate provisioning or perform advanced diagnostics. The two products, EdgeView and MetaView, deliver simplified, scalable provisioning and enhanced visibility into the performance of today’s VoIP networks.

Voxbone announces it is providing international direct inward dial numbers to Deutsche Telekom for its Developer Garden, a recently relaunched portal and marketplace that enables developers to integrate DT services into their mobile and desktop applications and to buy and sell software components.

DT, whose Developer Garden site targets 17 million global developers, chose Voxbone because the company’s VoxDID service enables major carriers such as DT to extend the reach of their telecommunications networks rapidly through Voxbone’s convenient application programming interface solution. The Developer Garden APIs offer developers access to DT’s voice and data services. VoX Communications announces that its mobile VoIP application for Android devices has exceeded 100,000 downloads from the Google Play store.

The VoIP application was launched in October of last year and is available for both Android handsets and tablets.
